What is a life worth?

WOULD YOU BE A VOLUNTEER IN HELPING US TO FIND MORE SPONSORS FOR OUR CHILDREN IN NEED?
What is a life worth? Most of us would sacrifice a great deal to save a single child every day, on average more than 26,000 children under the age of five die around the world, mostly from preventable causes.

“Do all the good you can,
By all the means you can,
In all the ways you can,
In all the places you can,
At all the times you can,
To all the people you can,
As long as ever you can.”
John Wesley quote

Jesus recognizes giving as an action of the heart, and as a measure of the heart. People tend to look at the size of the gift or the nobility of the cause, but Jesus looks at the heart of the giver.
Most of us, perhaps all of us, would like to be remembered as men and women who were generous.
So, the next two ways we can respond to God’s generosity are:
1. Availability
2. Participation.
We say availability because it’s not about going off alone to be generous to the world but saying to God, I am available as an instrument in your expert hands to bless the people in need. Think of a surgeon doing some life saving surgery – they use instruments to do the work.
Think of a musician providing an awe-inspiring evening of music – they use an instrument to do that. Francis of Assisi in his famous prayer said: ‘Lord makes me an instrument of your peace”
We talk about participation because God is continually at work in the world and we would be very vain to think he waited for us before acting. But he invites us to be ‘co-workers with Christ’ to participate in building his Kingdom. Somebody says when a gift is given, life becomes extraordinary because God’s own gift-giving flows through the giver.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you, not only for your efforts or money, but also for your time in helping the ministry of Healing Every Nation amongst the destitute children in Malawi and Mozambique.
Please accept our utmost thanks for all that you are doing for us and for the children in Africa. Your support and your friendship are very important to us; we appreciate and value it very much.
For the time being, we are reaching out and plead unto our dearest friends and supporters to once again help us to find more sponsors for the 500 hundred children in Malawi and Mozambique.
Because of what God has laid in our hearts; the vision, the love and the commitment to fulfil His calling and the passion we have to serve Him amongst the vulnerable children. We are restless to see all that God has planned for their lives being accomplished but without the help of other generous people we maybe be delayed in achieving it.
We have printed out cards with the child's photo and some information about the environment or situations that many children face in their lives in many places in Africa.
WOULD YOU BE A VOLUNTEER IN HELPING US TO FIND MORE SPONSORS FOR OUR CHILDREN IN NEED?
This is how it works, we as individuals have some friends and of course as well as family, and relatives, if we approach them on a one to one basis we believe that in 5 month we will have all the children sponsored. Please Commit with us to find as many sponsors as you are able among your friends and relatives. It will cost only $1.00 a day $30.00 a month for a child( or £20 per month in the UK)
Small giving growing love; that is why it is so important for people to sponsor a child http://www.healingeverynation.org/, it is a growing personal relationship of love between the person and the child they sponsor; the child needs to have a sense of belonging and to know that someone cares, the child becomes visible, it’s no longer a suffering situation of being forgotten.
Many thanks for taking the time to read this letter and taking the action in participating with God and us in building the future of these lovely children, for sure you will be rewarded.

We are looking forward to hearing from you,
Eddie and Vilma Brito

We belong to each other

We belong to each other
Documentary unfolding the science behind the idea of six degrees of separation. Originally thought to be an urban myth, it now appears that anyone on the planet can be connected in just a few steps of association. Six degrees of separation is also at the heart of a major scientific breakthrough; that there might be a law which nature uses to organize itself and that now promises to solve some of its deepest mysteries.
Why we are slow to understanding that we all can function better by connected to each other to sort out some kind the suffering and save lives.
